Description:
Defends classical civil liberty issues of freedom of speech and association, privacy and access to information, and due process through public education programs, meeting with government officials, and court action. Accepts, in writing, complaints related to discrimination, police, misconduct, unfair administrative procedures, prisoner's rights etc.. Does not represent individuals in court actions. Provides information and referral on a wide range of human rights, civil liberties, and related issues. Publishes newsletters and handbooks on civil liberty topics.
